In this video I am going to share with you a Sticky Beef Ribs Recipe.
Tender beef ribs covered with sweet, spicy and tangy sauce taste amazingly delicious. This fall off the bone sticky beef ribs is so finger-licking good that it will make you go “Ooh” 😮 and “Aah” 😃.
Happy cooking 😉
Several notes here to share with you:
I removed the translucent tissue from the underside of the beef ribs. The tissue will become tough after cooking and it is not fun to chew.
Place the baking dish into the middle rack of a preheated fan forced oven set to 200°C for 20 mins or until the ribs caramelize to your liking. If you have a conventional oven, the temperature would be 220°C.
Here is a quick rundown of the recipe:
Process the pineapple into puree. Add tomato ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, ground red chili, salt, minced garlic and the pineapple puree into a big bowl. Stir the sauce mixture together thoroughly and then set this aside.
Peel and discard the translucent tissue that is attached to the underside of the beef ribs. Heat up a pan over MEDIUM heat until it is hot enough. Place the beef ribs on the hot pan with its underside facing up. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef ribs and add 2 cups of plain water. Carefully stir the mixture to mix well with a wooden spatula. Cover the pan with its lid and bring to a boil over HIGH heat. Once it is boiling, reduce the heat to LOW and simmer for 1 hour or until the beef ribs are tender.
After 1 hour, transfer the beef ribs into a baking dish. Continue to simmer the sauce over HIGH heat until the sauce is slightly thickened. Add the brown sugar and honey to the pan and stir the mixture together to mix thoroughly.
Spoon half of the sauce over the ribs in the baking dish and coat generously on both sides. Transfer the baking dish to the middle rack of the preheated fan forced oven set to 200°C and bake the ribs for 20 mins or until the beef ribs caramelize to your liking.
Serve the sticky beef ribs with your choice of vegetables and mashed potatoes to complete the meal. Pour the left-over sauce over the sticky beef ribs to add that extra punch.
Happy cooking 😉🧡
